From Childhood Construction to Crafting Quality Homes

I started working in my father’s AC company at age 9, spending summer breaks roughing in houses. By 10, I was right there helping finish our Jim Walters home room by room, diving into plumbing, electrical, trim work, and sheetrock. These early experiences weren’t just tasks; they were the foundation for my approach to building homes that last.

Learning construction from the inside out taught me that quality isn’t something you glance at from a distance—it’s stamped into every nail, corner, and finish. Doing the actual work rather than just managing it exposed me to every detail, big and small. When you’re the one who has to live with the project, there’s simply no room for shortcuts or hidden mistakes.

This hands-on background is still evident in how I inspect work today. I’ve seen and done every part of the process, so I know exactly what to look for to ensure quality. Understanding construction from personal experience lets me make sharper judgments about what meets the standard of work that I promise to my clients.
